Buffalo Exchange is NOT a thrift store

I have one complaint and one awesome fact about my life.  Awesomeness first:  my Dad wanted me to get his Christmas gift (a dress shirt) from a thrift store.  How cool is that?  Complaint:  Buffalo Exchange is not a thrift store and should stop existing.

This is how I wanted yesterday to go:  I got together some clothes I barely ever wear, in great shape, and took them to Buffalo Exchange to maybe get some cash to buy a shirt from them for my Dad.  I thought it would be awesome to tell my father how I exchanged clothes and got his shirt for free!

After I haul all of my stuff over there, the girl asks me if its my first time donating.  After I say yes, she barely glances at my pile and tells me no.  (I can deal with that, however there was a name brand purse in there that definitely would have sold.)

I take my bag of not-good-enough clothing and look at their mens section.  Freakin' H&M dress shirts - $20.  After I looked through 15 shirts, none under a twenty dollar bill, I left.  There was a Mens Warehouse up the street, I went there because my boo insists that it's cheap and a good deal.

Walked in, looked at the on sale items, first price tag, $66.  Yea right, my dad would be so mad.

So I marched my butt down five blocks, donate all of my clothes to the Salvation Army, and look through their selection.  I find a Banana Republic shirt for $6 and another dress shirt for $5.  My bill was $11.98 and I can feel good because I donated some nice stuff to some people who need it.

End of story:  Buffalo Exchange is a waste of time and violates all that is sacred about thrift store shopping.
